Maraschino – the alcoholic
drink made of maraska (sour cherry), is distilled in Zadar’s
factory “Maraska” and has won many awards, the experts say that
it is the top quality drink from all the known ones. It is the
trade-mark of that area.
Tukljača – today it
is Turanj’s church grave, but ones it was the church of Tukljaca
which has existed in the IX century, when the city “STELA MARIS”
has been drowned. At low tide the foundations of the houses
and the break-water where many merchantman ships have been docked,
may be seen. The church portal is written on Glagolitic script
and it is kept in the museum in Biograd na moru.
